The relatively large number of articles published on this blog could lead some Reader to think that the Way of the Sacred Knowledge is impossibly difficult, impossibly complex. Thinking this would be a mistake. We certainly owe many answers to the nihilistic pseudo-culture that afflicts our times, therefore we need to dispel the lies spread by the malevolent and repeated by the lazy, but the fact remains that the Truth is simple, very simple.
God is Infinite Love.
If we don't jump instantly into ecstatic contemplation of such wondrous Truth it can only be because of some mundane and secular distraction...and the most fundamental distraction from the Truth is our ignorance...and our ignorance is complex, while Truth is simple.
And the Sacred Way of Knowledge is simple as well: the Sacred Way is the path of Love-Wisdom.
The love for all creatures, for all, the compassion for those who fall victim of the fangs of evil, the determination to stop evil, the joy for the Wonder of the Creation. And wisdom is remembering that God creates all that is, and that God is always Present, because every "where" and every "time" are eternally (that is: free from space and time) created by God.
Our ignorance extends a veil of darkness between us and the Truth and a tenfold veil of darkness between us and Love-Wisdom, but it is ultimately easy to diagnose. What is ignorance ? Ignorance is putting the human being at the place that is God's. In many and sometimes complex ways, we put ourselves at the center of reality, forgetting the true Center: if we look at history we contemplate the sad show of people who have even used the name of "religion" to pursue their very mundane goals of power, greed, and egotism. Even in recent years we had to see this horror: diabolical murderers satisfying their thirst of blood and evil under the cover of alleged "religious" grievances, killing thousands of fellow human beings at the Twin Towers, at the Pentagon, and in Pennsylvania.
Power, greed, self-importance (ego-building) are too often the motives of many, or of most. Thus, chaos and evil are what the attention of many is focused on.
All this is ultimately simple, it is always adoration of the ego.
Every ignorance, technically, is idolatry, idolatry of the ego.
Of course we can add that the idolatry of the ego - in which ignorance ultimately consists - is tragically ridiculous, because the place of the human being in the order of the Creation is extraordinarily important...and ignorance stops us from understanding this !
All the Creation is wonder but the human beings have been given the Gift of Freedom, therefore their place, under God, is extraordinary: if all the Creation is a Temple, the humans have the extraordinary Gift of being able to build a special Temple, of Love and Wisdom.
Instead...we build temples of horror...dedicated to ourselves.
So, the absolute simplicity of the Truth, "God is Infinite Love", requires from us a long and deep work if we are stuck in the mud of the idolatry of ourselves. But the Sacred Way of Love-Wisdom is always open to us: the simplest effort will move us a long way and every step will make us more able to move to the next step, because every step on the path of Love and Wisdom is always already moved thanks to Divine inspiration and makes us more able to receive the Love of God, God's Grace. Opening a very little window to the light in a room that has been forever in darkness will instantly enlighten it all, and the light will tell us where to go to open more and more, to more and more light !
That should make us very sad when we contemplate evil ...and when we understand our own faults and errors.
The Truth is just beside us, it surrounds us. A jump out of the ego idolatry will plunge us into a radiant light of Wonder...instead, we run away into the darkness, screaming that we have been abandoned.
We are the only ones who abandon... ourselves, when we forget the path of Love-Wisdom.
And ego-idolatry is all about forgetting Love- Wisdom.
No mystery here. Except how we can be as stupid as we are, since we have received and receive so many Gifts ! The only "mystery" is "how ?" : how are we NOT in ecstasy and in awe without intermission at being in the midst of the wonder of Creation ?!
Love and wisdom will save us from such ridiculous petrified condition, if we pursue love and wisdom with tenacious joy.
Love can only be given to be received, and wisdom can only be loved, for wisdom to talk to us. We can actually "work" on this...but it is no "technique", it is just the demolition of the great idol of selfishness !

Let's be tenaciously joyful: it's just because the truth is simple that we are having "difficulties", but when we remember to stop being busy with ourselves, that will clear the room. And the Way.
