God Who is Infinite Love is Present in every "where" and in every time.
Prayer is opening our spirit to this understanding, opening our understanding to the overwhelming Love of God and to the Presence of God.
We will easily recognize the false teachings (dictated by nihilism) if we will remember that prayer is not "from the outside": prayer is NOT knocking at the door of God: the Gates of the Kingdom are always open, the Infinite Love of God is always everywhere. If prayer is a "knocking" it is knocking at the door of our own spirit, to have us open our spirit to the truth, to awaken us from the slumber of false ideas and opinions.
We are shocked at these paradoxes of the truth, we cherish our materialistic (pseudo-)"reality" where we want to be the kings and queens of all, where we want to be satanically "independent" from God and where we want to see "things", and time, and space, instead of the Wonder of the Creation.
Prayer wakes us up to the truth, to the Eternal, to the Infinite Love of God, to the understanding that we are because God creates us and that God creates every"thing".
"But we are weak, we need help."
We are certainly weak and we certainly need help, but we are much weaker if we forget Isaiah 30:15 (see the last post before this), that is if we forget that we are given a "power", and that power stems from "peace and confidence" in the Infinite Love of God.
History, and life, certainly show that evil and human tragedies defy both our "peace" and our "confidence", that is true. But how much more is true that we usually interpret "peace and confidence" in purely materialistic terms ? How strong is our determination to keep the Truth of the Eternal, in which Life is infinite, Love is blooming in its fullness, and God is Present here and now, as the compass throughout our tragedies ?
Is this a difficult teaching for all of us ? It certainly is.
But if we are the first to close the doors of our spirit to the Truth, how can we hope for any Help ?
From the beginning (Gen. 1:1, בְּרֵאשִׁ֖ית , ἐν ἀρχῇ ) God gives us ALL the Help: God gives us Life, and will give us more Life. And Freedom, that allows us to understand and follow the Sacred Way, and meet the Wonder.
Even when we are not busy building hells of evil, we still build dungeons of fear and despair in our spirit. God gives us the Freedom that allows us to understand the Way out of those dungeons. Prayer is one of the paths on that Way and the help that it promises is the most fundamental help: prayer enlightens our spirit and takes us away from the dungeons of fear and despair, and moves us to the contemplation of the immensity of God.
If we open the doors of our spirit to this truth, life and reality change radically.
All evil is an accent on the finitude of the finite: we should think carefully about this. Evil shortens (or believes it can shorten) lives that could be short, increases pain where there could be pain. And evil ideas do the same: "matter" is transformed in a "thing" by materialism, and evil distorts and perverts all sorts of important human experiences interpreting them at a low level that denies Love and Wonder.
All good stems from attitude that is the contrary of accenting the finitude of the finite, all good stems from highlighting the Love, the Marvel, and the Wonder, from getting free from the chains by seeing the finite pointing at the Infinite.
Prayer is the gate to the Wonder.
And Wonder is the Gate through which Help can reach us, again.
And every"thing" can be prayer. Every good action, every good work, every good word. Because the Wonder of every"thing" can remind us that God Who Is Infinite Love is always Present, here.
Switch on, tune in, drop out of the dungeons of ignorance.
Prayer is enthusiasm and joy.
